Mothers Who Write: Retreat
A four night boutique writing retreat for mothers in the foothills of Snowdonia:
27 November - 1 December 2019 (Only 1 place available)
24 - 28 February 2020 SOLD OUT
“A life-changing three days.” Clover Stroud
A tranquil and inspiring retreat; a place to make progress on your writing project, meet that deadline, crack that difficult rewrite and recharge your creative batteries with a small group of four experienced writers who happen to be mothers.
Hosted by me, Rebecca Schiller (author, journalist and founder of the human rights in childbirth charity Birthrights), the Mothers Who Write Retreat promises:
peace, quiet and a lie-in (if you want one)
a chance to be nurtured, cooked for and listened to
a break from your day job and caring responsibilities
structured writing sessions and goal-setting
peer support and feedback from other writers
frank discussion of the opportunities and difficulties that combining writing with parenting can bring
a host with expertise in women’s rights, maternity rights, equality, the lived experience of motherhood and mothers’ mental health…
who also knows a thing or two about nurturing mothers (given my previous career as a doula)
luxurious accommodation and glorious gardens
walks, wine drinking (BYO), fireside chats
stunning North Wales scenery
all meals, cakes, fruit, hot and soft drinks provided
your own double or king room
